African American Student Admits Hanging Nooses in College Hate Crime Hoax
Hate crime hoax. Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth had told TODAY'S TMJ4 the threats made towards African-American students at UW-Parkside were a hoax.
The sheriff stressed that there was absolutely no danger to the students at UW-Parkside due to this threat. Through the investigation detectives were able to determine that there never was a threat of harm to students at UW-Parkside.
An investigation led authorities to question a female student about the threats. The student allegedly told authorities she had made the hit list because she was not satisfied with the initial response from a resident assistant when that resident assistant was shown the rubber bands that were said to look like a noose. The suspect wanted greater attention to that issue.
isn't it funny how when they thought it was a white person, they kept saying "white person" over and over in the 1st few reports. As soon as they found out it was a hoax done by a black person, suddenly all talk of black or white or anything to do with race, disappeared completely as if it never happened. if it hypothetical roles reversed, it would have been the white Duke LaCrosse team all over again having them on CNN for 2 whole years! They ALWAYS hide black on white crime. Especially these past few years. In 2005 we had 40,000 white women being raped every yr. Curiously, even though whites outnumber blacks in America 5 to 1, ZERO black women were raped a year on average by whihies
Freshman Carolina Diaz is shocked by the news, telling TODAY'S TMJ4, "I just think it's like ridiculous, that's something really serious." Meanwhile, Crystal Sims of the Black Student Union said how she felt about this, saying, "Anger. Disappointment. I believe it's extremely pathetic for someone to terrify their student body in such a matter because it is something serious."
Authorities have not arrested anyone in this case. UW-Parkside police said they are trying to protect the perpetrator Friday evening. The name of the woman involved is being withheld in order to provide the opportunity to remove her from campus.
UW-Parkside Chancellor Deborah Ford said, "It is good to find out that there was not an actual safety threat to our students."
UW-Parkside Police Chief James Heller said, "The safety of our students and the security of our campus is the highest priority. I am glad that we can tell our students to rest easy tonight."
The sheriff says he plans to go to the Kenosha County District Attorney's Office on Monday to push for charges against that person and anyone else who was involved because of the commotion caused on campus.
The sheriff's department was investigating after two nooses and a so-called hit list targeting African-American students was found Wednesday and Thursday.
