03 A Filipino Traditional Dance Medley: Journey into Asia 2011 (Embrace)

Arielle Ocampo, Kelsey Tikvart, Vethea A Vega, Paola Ibe, Jenina Rivera, Fatima Domagtoy, Shawn Streeter, Jolyssa Claricia, Cece Pascual, Chris Uy, Jeremy Lacara, April Nonato, Joanna Miranda, Max Wolpert, Sammy Sabban, TJ Ogron, Sagi Gillera , Leslie Esparagoza, Jonelle Claricia, Gian Garcia, JR Fruto Kasama, the Filipino-American Organization at UNC, presents a medley of three dances: the Tinikling (Philippines national dance), the Pandanggo Sa Ilaw ("Fandango with lights"), and the Sayaw sa Bangko ("Dance on a bench"). Journey Into Asia is an annual showcasing of local talent hosted by the Asian Student Association at UNC-CH in celebration of Asian heritage and culture.
