With polling now at 47 Obama to 43 Romney, experts are saying that President Obama now needs to go negative HARD! But should he? And if so, HOW should he do it? What do you think? www.britethorn.com http The latest NBC Wall St Journal Poll has them at 47 Obama to 43 for Romney—the conventional wisdom now holds that the only way Obama can beat Romney is for him to tear Mitt down the same way Bush tore John Kerry Down 8 years ago. Which would mean that Obama has to go negative while Romney needs to only keep hammering President Obama on the economy. And based on the ads the campaign is now running as well as statements from David Axelrod and the President, it seems pretty clear that this elections version of Swift-boating is going to Bain-boating—as in Bain Capital, Mitt Romney's old firm. Or simple put, Romney is just a Rich guy who put people out of work so that he could make money. Which, on the face of it, sounds like a winning stategy, accept that I'm not buying it. People aren't going to be crossing party lines in this election. Independents are going to choose the next President and a LOT of them only care about the fact that Romney knows how to handle money—and they don't really care about how he got rich. So the question then becomes, other than getting some video of Romney windsurfing or obsessively combing his hair, what line of attack should Obama take against him?

Localization of a target using a robotic agent with antenna diversity
In this experiment, a transmitter is located inside a room and a robot with installed 4 antennas moves parallel to a wall try to get closer to the source of the signal. The 4 antennas are connected to a ZigBee transceiver and to a switch. The switch is connected directly to the robot (a Pioneer P3 AT rover). By using ROS and code developed in C++, at each iteration, we sample the four received signal strengths and decide where to move by using a gradient technique.

A robot following a wall to localize a static transmitter located inside a room. The robot has 4 directiona antennas connected to a switch and to a ZigBee node. The static transmitter inside the room is a ZigBee node connected to a laptop. In this scenario the transmitter is pointed in the direction of the entrance in the room.
