HSSC Doggie Easter Egg Hunt 2010
For a while it looked like the rain was going to squash the Doggie Easter Egg Hunt, but at the last minute the rain stopped and opened up a beautiful sunny sky. A little chilly and a little windy, but that was not paid any notice once the hunt began. We had a great turn out for the Humane Society of Scott County event and I was able to take a boatload of photographs. If you click over to my Photo Gallery, you can view the entire photoshoot. This is a cover of a simple and amazing Mark Kozelek song: "Leo & Luna". This song is about great boxers and cats...! Two of Kozelek's favorite topics. This song mention Leon Spinks (photo against M. Ali). He was a heavyweight/cruiserweight, won gold as light heavyweight in the 1976 Montreal Olympic games, and was noteworthy for winning the HW championship in only his eighth pro fight (fastest ever), when he beat Muhammad Ali in a 15-round decision in February 1978. Then proceeded to lose it the same way in a rematch exactly seven months later. In 2006, Koz' was invited by label Paper Bag Records to contribute to their "See You on the Moon! Songs for Kids of All Ages compilation" with his original song "Leo and Luna." This is also the fourth track of the record "Nights LP, 12 Songs by Mark Kozelek" (2009). 003 - Tom and Jerry - The Night Before Christmas
In a house on the night before Christmas, nothing was stirring, not even a mouse...or so it seems at first. Jerry emerges from his hole avoiding a Christmas-themed mousetrap (already baited with a piece of cheese wrapped in a red ribbon) placed by his hole. Jerry quickly heads for the Christmas presents, jumping merrily around the tree, licking candy canes and jumping onto a plush toy lion that squeaks. Jerry continues jumping on the soft toy, but bounces too hard and lands on what he thinks is another soft toy. Jerry jumps up and down on the grey fur, not realising that he is jumping on, in fact, Tom, who has woken up. Tom snarls and just before he can eat Jerry, the quick-thinking mouse grabs a nearby "Do Not Open Till Xmas" sticker and instantly places it on Tom's mouth. Jerry hides among the myriad of toys (even firing a trick cannon's cork at Tom) and hides inside a Christmas fairy light, causing him to glow. Tom, obviously not fooled by this, grabs Jerry and is promptly electrocuted and blown up. Jerry hides among some toy soldiers, but Tom spots him and before he can crush Jerry with his paw, the mouse runs off, saluting the cat like a real soldier would. Tom chases Jerry, but is stopped by the barrier of a miniature level crossing. A toy train passes by, with many carriages. Jerry is sitting on top of the caboose, waving cheekily at Tom and pulling faces. However, the train enters a model of a tunnel and Jerry, sitting on top of the train, hits his head, knocking ...
