Pro tip - This montage is filled with pretty colors, but you can't appreciate them without teh 720p. I'd like to give a huge thanks to Reduxy for letting me edit this, I had ridiculous amounts of fun in the process. The CC of this one was heavily inspired by the work of Puba, who is one of my top three favorite editors. THE EDITING PROCESS: I'm fascinated by the editing process of Halo montages, and would be eternally joyful if every montage's description was a legit, detailed description. So here's mine, to whoever is interested. AUDIO: It has become my tradition to make montages without game audio and then reconstruct all the sounds from scratch (so no unnecessary sound bites muddle up the wonderful soundtrack). This time I tried doing it rhythmically, you'll hear that the rocket launcher shots are basically percussion. I also did random stuff like add in a swish sound effect to the magnum-equip in epitaph. In the Narrows scene, you can hear respawn beeps indicating that the triple kill is about to spawn. While all other audio is central, the beeps alternate left, right, left, right. I thought it was crafty. If you have good headphones you'll notice it. VIDEO: Nothing too special... I put a lot of time into the CC, but you have to watch in 720p for the color/tones to properly show. I still haven't found my true style yet. Thanks to the fellas who showed me down for taking the time, showing the lines and getting some video. The Narrows is a classic NC class V run, and is incredibly beautiful. The level was something like 9 inches and the steep drops are back to back to back. It's no slouch in an open boat, but a classic challenge for any paddler. Lake Joseph connects to Lake Rosseau from what I can tell by two water-ways. This video shows the Joseph River and a part of it called the Ames Narrows. It is a beautiful area to boat through. Lots of large homes and island properties.
