2005 Crossfade is an American rock band from Columbia, South Carolina. Their current members are Ed Sloan on vocals, guitar, and piano, Mitch James on backing vocals and bass, Les Hall on guitar, and keyboard and Will Hunt on drums. The group was formed in 1999 as the power trio The Nothing, consisting of singer and guitarist Ed Sloan, bassist and backing vocalist Mitch James, and drummer Brian Geiger. At one point Crossfade was also known as Sugardaddy Superstar.[1] The band changed its name to Crossfade in 2002, with singer and DJ Tony Byroads, who had actually been playing with Sloan since 1996. Crossfade attracted the interest of the Los Angeles, California A&R company Taxi (Independent A&R), which ultimately led to the signing of a record deal with the Earshot division of Columbia Records.[2] They released their first full-length self-titled album on April 13, 2004 which featured the massive hit "Cold", as well as "Colors" and "So Far Away". Their latest album, Falling Away, released on August 29, 2006, also Columbia Records, with the singles "Invincible", "Drown You Out", and "Already Gone". They were cut from Columbia Records sometime around 2008. After long consideration they signed to Eleven Seven Music to publish their third record.

From new Maledia Album "Your Angels Cry" OUT 7th of May 2012, under the English Label RavenHeart Music Records, the amazing and powerful "Fireflies"... "Did you ever try to face the night as a firefly?" I really hope you will, even just for once in your lifetime. Lyrics in the description. Fireflies Here I am Lost in darkness I cross the Nightmare That burned my fairytales Here I am No time more wasted To watch my old footsteps Look inside my mirror Tell me what you see Night embraced me as much as To be no longer me No more shame, no more blame I'm not afraid, neither insane I just run beyond my fear of feelings If the path is hidden I (can) turn on the light As a firefly No more names, no more chains Deep inside among the senses Lust, passion and hate Did you ever try to face the night As a firefly? But here again I'm lost in silence I sense the violence Of all my fairytales Here I stand Hours spending Recalling my past Pain, shame, regrets again I'm so afraid either insane I just die inside my fear of living Not allowed to face the daylight For a firefly Sharp chains, new scars with every breath Waiting for the moment when I'll fade away Can just forget who I am tonight As a firefly Please no more shame, no more pain I'm so afraid and so insane I just die inside my fear of feelings Did you ever try to face the night As a firefly? No more names, no more chains Deep inside among the senses Love, sadness and Hate I just pray there's only last night For a lonely firefly ...

YeeTVMusic News & Radio Gibb who was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2011 is dead. (22 December 1949 - 20 May 2012) Robin Hugh Gibb, was a singer and songwriter. He is best known as a member of the Bee Gees, co-founded with his twin brother Maurice and older brother Barry. He had a brother, Andy Gibb, who was also a very popular singer. "The quavering voice of Robin Gibb was one of the key ingredients in the sound and success of the Bee Gees. Over a period of 40 years, Robin - alongside twin brother Maurice and older brother Barry - racked up a string of hit singles and albums. From their early incarnation as pop troubadours to their dramatic reinvention as the kings of disco in the mid-1970s, they notched up more than 200 million album sales worldwide. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. But it was a bumpy road with inner tensions in the band causing a brief split. The Gibbs also had to deal with the pain of losing younger brother Andy at an early age and the death of Maurice at 53. Robin Gibb was born in Douglas on the Isle of Man on 22 December 1949, just 35 minutes before Maurice. Music was an early part of his life as the boys' father Hugh was a drummer and bandleader. The family moved to Manchester in the 1950s, before undertaking the long journey to Australia. There they settled in one of Brisbane's poorer neighbourhoods. Robin, together with Maurice and Barry, began playing gigs under a variety of names before settling on The Bee Gees ...

This is a little sloppy in some parts; I had tried this cover about 20 times and wasn't in the mood to continue trying for perfection. Just for the record... I typically cover songs from bands in the genre of King Conquer, Molotov Solution, Miss May I, etc
Uploaded by Rich at aftersabbath.blogspot.com the blog for 60s-70s heavy obscurities. Formed 1969, Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom Disbanded 1974 1973 'Odgipig [LP] Vinyl LP Medway Sindelfingen were a short-lived British quartet who played folk-leaning progressive music and who released a single studio album during their tenure. The band included a pair of young brothers who would go on to lengthy careers as professional musicians. Guitarist/bassist Mark Letley, who was only seventeen when this album was recorded, would accompany guitarist/lead vocalist Richard Manktelow to the eighties pop trio BABY GRAND and later release a minor hit single along with his younger brother Matt as THE STUDIO BAND. Matt, who was himself just twelve years old in 1973 was not a member of Sindelfingen at the time, but would replace Roger Thorn as the record was wrapping up and played as a member of the band on the lengthy bonus track "The Princess and the Predator" which accompanies most of the reissued versions of the record. In 2000 Matt became the drummer for STATUS QUO. Manktelow, Thorn and glockenspieler Roger Woods seem to have disappeared from the music business in the ensuing years since the band dissolved. The original album is rather short, clocking in at barely thirty-six minutes but full of archetypal mid- seventies folk-inspired music. The slightly pompous arrangements on the longer tracks, as well as Manktelow's theatrical vocal style reveal some of the records that were likely ...

• Charles Sullivan (trumpet, flugelhorn) • Sonny Fortune (alto saxophone) • Alex Blake (bass) • Stanley Cowell (piano) • Billy Hart (drums) • Lawrence Killian (congas, percussion) • Released in 1976 Trumpeter, flügelhornist, and composer Charles Sullivan -- once pegged as a poor man's Lee Morgan or Woody Shaw -- toiled in many mainstream or progressive big bands of the 1970s, languishing in obscurity until breaking through with this, his debut as a leader. Using a spare, warm tone, Sullivan was a cool customer in the firestorm of progressive jazz and fusion of the day, adapting those idioms to his own brand of personalized jazz. Because of his many professional associations, he was able to employ true cream-of-the-crop musicians like pianists Stanley Cowell, Onaje Allan Gumbs, and Sharon Freeman, saxophonist Sonny Fortune, bassist Alex Blake, percussionist Lawrence Killian, and drummer Billy Hart to play his original compositions. Of the five selections, each has its own distinctive flair, taking from different modern jazz elements prevalent to the time frame while not stuck in a rut with any of them. As the very first piece he ever wrote, "Evening Song" is compelling with its Latin beat and modal montuno piano where Sullivan takes an extended solo, with Cowell also featured before the trumpeter returns for more. ~Michael G. Nastos DownBeat Magazine: 5 Star Review: "Charles Sullivan deserves full honors for this lyrical debut album... Sullivan has created a satisfying ...
