Earth Changes 2012 Pole Shift.
The Sun's magnetic north pole, which was in the northern hemisphere just a few months ago, now points south. It's a topsy-turvy situation, but not an unexpected one. "This always happens around the time of solar maximum," says David Hathaway, a solar physicist at the Marshall Space Flight Center. "The magnetic poles exchange places at the peak of the sunspot cycle. In fact, it's a good indication that Solar Max is really here." The Sun's magnetic poles will remain as they are now, with the north magnetic pole pointing through the Sun's southern hemisphere, until the year 2012 when they will reverse again.This transition happens, as far as we know, at the peak of every 11-year sunspot cycle - like clockwork. Earth's magnetic field also flips, but with less regularity. Consecutive reversals are spaced 5 thousand years to 50 million years apart. The last reversal happened 740000 years ago. Some researchers think our planet is overdue for another one, but nobody knows exactly when the next reversal might occur. The Sun's basic magnetic field, like Earth's, resembles that of a bar magnet. Although solar and terrestrial magnetic fields behave differently, they do have something in common: their shape. During solar minimum the Sun's field, like Earth's, resembles that of an iron bar magnet, with great closed loops near the equator and open field lines near the poles. They are available from most major Japanese retailers like AmiAmi and HLJ, and can also be find for retail thanks to sellers on eBay, which offers the best deals for importers of these, in my opinion. As individual sets, these kits feature very little stickers, and a wide variety of plastic colors compared to the Evolution Kits. Pikachu has stickers in the mouth, nose, and pupils, while Victini features stickers in the ears, mouth, nose, and pupils. Pikachu features movement in his arms, tail, and a gimmick where his ears move when you twist his head from side to side. It's actually really clever, and looks really cute. Victini features a gimmick where his feet can move side to side, which cases his arms to flap. Both of these are incredible sets for the price. Pikachu in particular is a really nice kit for kids who adore the little yellow rat. These are beginner model kids, featuring little articulation, larger pieces, and simple instructions, so you or your children should have no problems putting these together. If you're an experienced model builder, I'd stay far away from these, given how basic they are. In this video, I reviewed how to use a real industrial level thermal label printer, and show you a hands-on tour of the labeling machine. From how to load the roll of label refill tape, how to make a "no parking" safety slogan and print it out using MS Word on a regular PC, I wanted to give you a do it yourself option to going to a professional sign printer. You can use this kind of equipment to put all your catchy safety slogans for work or even for your home business. I can also print stuff out on Photoshop, Gimp, OpenOffice, Illustrator, and even on the MS paint program! I like to use GIMP because it has almost all the functionality of Photoshop at the cost of FREE! This labeltac also comes with its own printing software, called Bartender. These labelers are kind of spendy, but they hold up to extreme use and are pretty stoutly built; which you would expect from a professional-grade heavy duty label maker. It isn't really practical for scrapbooking or basic home labeling--because of the price, but it is pretty affordable if you need to churn out a ton of labels for marking pipes, or arc flash stickers. We're happy with this one--although we wanted to buy the labeltac 9, but it was out of our companies budget. We're hoping we can convince our buyer to buy the bigger one soon, because it can print up to 9" wide, while the Labeltac 4 can print up to 4 inches wide.
