Fish in Oil promoting their debut album at Ring Ring festival in Kolarceva Zaduzbina. An awesome venue for an awesome show courtesy of my now favourite Belgrade band. A lot of jazz, funk, surf and film music influences, a bit like NYC downtown music but still fiercely local. Pay attention! From Press release: The band Fish in oil performs instrumental music, colored with a bit of blues, rock and roll, surf, folk, free-jazz, film-music, at the same time avoiding to be classified under any of these. Music of this band reflects accurately the time and the region where it comes from; namely, this is an intriguing mixture of the western and eastern cosmology, fusion of history and contemporary life. First album of the Fish in oil was released under an associative title, " Poluostrvo" (Peninsula); it comprised of twelve compositions, signed by guitarist , Bratislav Radovanović. Participation in the Ring Ring music festival is a unique and distinguished promotion of this album.
