Cirena just thinks why she did that while her reflection gives Cirena some nasty adittude about her looks. So I know the beginning's pretty rough and it's still pretty pitchy afterwards, but I put this up more for the lyrics then my horrible singing. I wrote this song today actually in reflection of how easily I've lost myself over the years and what a struggle it's been trying to find myself again. Safe Passage -Camino Seguro Identity Mural
Carlyn Wright-Eakes returned for four saturdays during the month of April to lead a self-reflection workshop using many different art based techniques, including grafitti. Carlyn donated a large portion of the materials for the mural in addition to supplies from Safe Passage. This workshop is part of a longer series that Carlyn has been leading in Chile, Nicaragua, and different parts of Guatemala. Vision and Voices explores issues of identity and culture through self-portraits. The workshop included writing, painting, collaging, charcoal, and pastels. Safe Passage's Library Coordinator, Matle Gembus led the students in writing workshops in which they explored their identity and voice. Next to each students' face on the wall is a smaller box depicting important aspects of their identity. The wall for the mural was donated by the owner of the factory inside the wall because two of the students' mother works there and obtained permission. Luckily, this mural only covers a small portion of the wall and Creative Expression Program Coordinator Elena Chernock will be leading the creation of another mural in June. The final product was a beautiful mural painted in the community that represented five individual students, their work, and how they view themselves.

Evening Meet, UP 7019 and UP 6049 on 5-20-2012
An AC4460CW leads a ethanol train toward the setting sun and meets an eastbound mixed freight as it comes by Maple Park, Illinois. I've captured this scene a few times before. Catching the reflection of the setting sun which is off-frame to the right in the zoomed-in view. Plus shooting the full sky sunset from the other side. The ethanol train was moving right along, but the eastbound slowed at it passed my location. So I've edited this down from about 10 minutes. This was the evening of the annular solar eclipse seen in partiality locally. I have some clips of that which I will post later, but probably to my "Outdoors" YouTube channel.
