"Oh but he has an amazing backstory.." Erm.. EVERY character in the comic-verse has an amazing backstory. Hawkeye is lame. He has no powers. And a bow is not a wise or practical choice. A sniper rifle can do the same job better. It can be silenced. It has a further range. It is more powerful. It has a larger ammo capacity. How man and machine interact today, and how popular culture predicts this relationship will play out going into the future. The final project for my editing class had us each do whatever we wanted. Staying true to form, I waited until the last minute to start. Some of my ideas lined up even better than I had planned (Terminator scenes), some ideas could have used more work (the entire second half of the video), and some ideas had to be scrapped altogether (scenes from Iron Giant and Mass Effect that might have made the video's narrative more clear). Now that class has ended, I guess I should make some actual videos for a change.
